Along this journey Inacent encountered such stumbling blocks as abandonment, loss, anger, alcoholism, and lust – issues that are not uncommon to many women, even “Women of God”. However, these issues are sometimes hard for Christian women to admit to one another. This is especially true of younger Christian women who are constantly admonished to “live holy”, and are often harshly criticized if they should fall short of these expectations. The specially selected pieces in this anthology are intended to finally acknowledge some of the pain, confusion, and trauma – with an honest, explicit voice – that many young women have dealt with (and may continue to deal with) along their Christian walk. The pieces also portray the personal growth that comes by enduring the process of sanctification. As for herself, Inacent knows that she was only able to overcome her pain by growing in relationship with Christ, which then put her on a path to salvation, repentance, deliverance, and an understanding of her true identity as a Daughter of the King! By sharing her journey from pain to praise, she hopes to inspire other young women to begin or continue their journey as well.PLEASE NOTE: Some of the pieces in this publication contain language of a violent, sexual and explicit nature.
